Mountain Dew is commemorating the 20th anniversary of its beloved Baja Blast flavor with an exciting collaboration.
Originally exclusive to Taco Bell, Baja Blast is now available in retail stores nationwide for the entirety of the year. But that’s not the only surprise in store—Baja Blast has taken a new form as a Doritos chip flavor.
To mark the occasion, Doritos is joining in on the year-long celebration. “This year marks the 20th Bajaversary, and Doritos is officially joining the year-long celebration,” the chip company announced.
Baja Blast enthusiasts can rejoice as the tropical lime flavor is now infused into Doritos Baja Fiery Mango chips.
Celebrating 20 Years of Baja Blast with a Bold Fusion of Flavor
Described as “spice-packed and tangy,” this limited-time flavor embodies Doritos’ commitment to delivering unexpected taste experiences to its loyal fanbase.
Instead of simply replicating the beverage’s flavor, Doritos sought inspiration from the popular mango flavors.
The team members researched various mango flavor profiles, focusing on attributes like juiciness, tartness, and earthiness, before settling on the fiery mango flavor complemented by chili peppers for an extra kick.
But the celebration doesn’t end with chips. With the purchase of any Baja product, including Doritos Baja Fiery Mango, customers can scan the packaging for a chance to win exclusive Doritos x Baja gear.
The merchandise range includes T-shirts, electronics, beach loungers, socks, ice cube trays, Taco Bell deals, and a limited-edition Stanley Cup collectible.
