What is the plot of American Skin?
Talking about the plot of the movie, the film charts how after witnessing his 14-year-old son’s by a White Police officer who absolutely goes uncharged and did not get filed up against his son’s murder, Marine veteran Lincoln ‘Linc’ Jefferson takes matter into his own hands and starts a series of events in which he hopes to finally find justice for his son’s murder. The producer of the movie, Ben Ammar told one of the sources that when I was brought the movie’s script, I knew instantly that I had to be involved with this story that would spark a discussion about the state of racism and will open many eyes in this regard. The issue of racism is not only in the US but is there in the entire world which has to be spoken about. The producer also added that as a society we must acknowledge the truth about racism and handle the fear that drives with it. We are very excited and thrilled to be working on this project with such talented actors in our team.
What does the trailer say?
As far as the film’s trailer is concerned, the official trailer of the drama feature film American Skin has been released by Vertical Entertainment. The trailer shows Black seeking justice against a white police officer in a violent trial effort which is the main narrative of the film. The film portrays a layered story about a Black Iraqi Vet whose son was shot by a white police officer in front of his eyes and goes uncharged. The man later took the matter in his own hands and seeks justice for his son.
When asked Nate, he said in his interview that as an American citizen, father, brother, son, and artist, I felt compelled as a writer and a filmmaker to portray this kind of a story to the audience so that people learn to understand how big the problem of racism is. With this film, I would like to initiate a global culture shift that can lead to the preservation of lives, black lives especially. If saving one life is the only thing which my film achieves, then that would be the core purpose of my film.
