The OnePlus 13 has recently been showcased through a series of official images that highlight its design, alongside the announcement of a launch event scheduled for October 31 in China. A post from OnePlus’s official Weibo account presented the device’s aesthetic features, confirming earlier leaks that suggested only minor updates from the previous model.
Among the notable design elements are flatter sides and a more pronounced camera bulge, prominently featuring the Hasselblad branding, signaling a continued focus on camera quality.
A significant aspect of the OnePlus 13’s design is the potential for a flat screen, which would represent a return to this feature in flagship models for the first time since the OnePlus 8T. While the images still display a curved screen, the flatter edges raise hopes that OnePlus might be moving away from the trend of curved displays.
The device will reportedly be available in three color options—black, blue, and white—with a metallic strip elegantly separating the circular camera bar from the embossed “H” logo, adding a sophisticated touch to its overall look.
The beloved alert slider remains a defining feature of the OnePlus 13, showcasing the brand’s commitment to user-friendly design. However, the images suggest that the device could incorporate glossy side rails, similar to the recent Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL models. While this design choice may lead to concerns about long-term durability, it aligns with the glossy metal finishes seen in previous OnePlus generations, indicating a consistent design approach throughout its lineup.
In addition to its visual enhancements, the OnePlus 13 is rumored to include several new features aimed at improving user experience. These features may comprise an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a substantial 6,000 mAh battery, and a charging system reminiscent of Apple’s MagSafe technology. With the upcoming launch of OxygenOS 15 on October 24, these advancements are expected to significantly enhance the overall smartphone experience, especially given the strong performance of its predecessor, the OnePlus 12.
As the launch date approaches, anticipation for the OnePlus 13 continues to build. With just over a week remaining until its official reveal, additional details are likely to emerge, providing potential buyers with further insights into what is expected to be an impressive flagship device in the competitive smartphone market.
