iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 introduce new features that enhance third-party apps, particularly through Control Center integration and customizable shortcuts. This update allows users to add various apps to the Control Center, Lock Screen, or use them with the Action Button, providing more accessibility and convenience. Numerous third-party apps have already adopted these new features, significantly expanding their functionality and user interaction.

Halide, a popular camera app, now allows users to launch it directly from the Lock Screen, similar to the default Camera app. It also supports Control Center integration, Dark Mode, and tinted icons, enhancing its usability and aesthetic appeal. This means users can quickly access Halide and capture photos even when the iPhone is locked.
