A former TikTok employee has gained viral attention for creating a TikTok video on her final day at the company. In the clip, she tours the TikTok office in New York one last time and humorously takes some “company assets” for herself.

Simona, the former TikTok employee, went viral after sharing her last day at the company through a TikTok video.

On her final day at the social media giant, she wandered the halls, looking through and showcasing various cool areas. Along the way, Simona humorously helped herself to some “company assets” to keep.

The TikTok video follows a popular trend where employees document their day at work. However, Simona’s video had a unique twist for viewers.

Instead of labeling the video as “come with me to work a day at X company,” Simona explicitly invited users to join her in “stealing company assets from TikTok.”

In the video, Simona visits various areas of the office, highlighting interesting spots such as vibrantly lit hallways, “irreplaceable bathrooms,” and the fantastic views the office offers.

Additionally, she joked by initially saying “we” while moving through the office, only to correct herself with “oops, not a we anymore.”

Simona made sure not to leave the TikTok office empty-handed, taking some “company assets” along the way.

These assets turned out to be various snacks that TikTok provides for its employees. She also kept her company lanyard, despite needing to return it along with her TikTok ID and laptop.

In her TikTok caption, Simona playfully wrote: “It’s the least I deserve ok!!!!! #techlayoff #techlayoffs2023 #imokay #haha #thisisajoke”

The video has since gone viral, amassing 1.7 million views and over 170,000 likes at the time of writing. Some TikTok users in the comments criticized the company for laying off employees, while others praised Simona’s satirical take on the situation.

One user noted the irony of Simona posting a TikTok about “stealing” from TikTok as a former employee.

In a follow-up TikTok, Simona clarified that the “stealing” was a joke, stating that she only took $10 worth of snacks and that the entire video was meant to be satirical.
