Samsung recently announced plans to expand its “One UI” software beyond Galaxy devices, bringing it to a wider array of products, including TVs and home appliances, starting next year. Over time, Samsung has continued to develop One UI, rolling it out to smartwatches after the company adopted Wear OS. Now, the same software branding will be applied across many of Samsung’s product lines.
At its developer conference, Samsung revealed that One UI will become the unified software platform across its key devices. This change signals an effort to deliver a consistent user interface and experience across its ecosystem.
The inclusion of home appliances and TVs in the One UI umbrella suggests that Samsung is aiming to integrate its entire product lineup, creating a more seamless interaction for users moving between different types of devices.
Samsung also announced a commitment to providing long-term software updates for up to seven years across its product lines, reflecting its dedication to continuous innovation.

In another announcement, Samsung disclosed that its upcoming One UI 7 Android update would be delayed until 2025, with a beta release expected before the end of this year. This delay suggests that Samsung is likely refining the software in preparation for its expanded role across various devices.
By taking extra time, Samsung may be ensuring that the new update aligns with its broader vision for One UI’s integration across all product categories.
