The phone is set to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and the latest disclosures from OnePlus include crucial details about its battery, charging capabilities, connectivity options, and additional functionalities.
With these announcements, it appears that almost all key aspects of the device will be known by the time it hits the market.
The OnePlus 13 will be equipped with a robust 6,000mAh battery, which supports impressive charging speeds of 100W wired and 50W wireless. This represents a 600mAh increase compared to the OnePlus 12, although it falls short of the 6,100mAh capacity offered by its main competitor, the Xiaomi 15 Pro.
OnePlus claims that a full charge of the battery will allow for up to 11 hours of video playback and 7.1 hours of navigation, highlighting the device’s endurance and suitability for heavy users.
In terms of connectivity, the OnePlus 13 will feature Wi-Fi 7 support, aligning it with other recent flagship devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the Pixel 9 series.
OnePlus has also announced enhancements to its NFC and antenna technologies, promising improved performance and reliability in connectivity. These updates signal the brand’s commitment to staying competitive in the premium smartphone market.
Additionally, the OnePlus 13 will bring back the popular Alert Switch, a feature beloved by many users for its simplicity and functionality. The switch will maintain its previous capabilities, allowing users to easily toggle between silence, vibrate, and ring modes.
Furthermore, the device will be equipped with four microphones featuring AI noise reduction technology, ensuring clearer audio quality during calls, which adds to the overall appeal of the OnePlus 13 as a well-rounded flagship smartphone.
