The upcoming HMD Hyper, a new smartphone from Finnish manufacturer HMD Global, is creating a buzz with its variety of color options and impressive specifications. Recent leaks have revealed the colors available for the device at launch, including a unique yellow that is reminiscent of the Lumia 920 but with a slight variation. Additionally, the HMD Hyper will come in Blue Topaz, Red, and Gray, offering a broad range of choices for potential buyers.
The leaked image, shared on X by the user @smashx_60, shows that the phone will be available in four colors: a distinctive yellow, Blue Topaz similar to the HMD Skyline, Red, and Gray. It’s not yet clear if all these colors will be available at launch or if some might be limited to specific regions. Nonetheless, the variety of color options is a notable feature for those interested in personalizing their smartphone.
Along with the color details, the leak has confirmed many of the phone’s specifications, which were previously disclosed. The HMD Hyper will have a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. These specifications align with the earlier leak, providing consistency in the information available.
In terms of performance, the HMD Hyper will be equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It will feature a triple rear camera system with a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 13MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, plus a 50MP front camera. The phone will also include a 4700mAh battery with 33W fast charging, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5, and NFC.
While a specific release date has not been confirmed, there is speculation that the HMD Hyper might be introduced soon, possibly in conjunction with the IFA Berlin event scheduled for this weekend. This timing suggests that the official launch could be imminent, increasing anticipation among potential customers.
