The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL has been subject to numerous leaks, revealing much of its specifications ahead of the official launch. Unlike previous Pixel releases, the 9-series will debut with Android 14, breaking the tradition of introducing a new version of Android alongside the phone.

This change may be due to an earlier launch schedule compared to the Pixel 8, which was released in November. Google has also committed to providing 7 years of Feature Drops for the 9-series, ensuring long-term software support.

The Pixel 9 Pro XL will be powered by the Google Tensor G4 chipset and the Titan M2 security chip. It will come with 16GB of RAM and a base storage option of 128GB, with the highest available storage option being 1TB. The starting price for the Pro XL is expected to be $1,100, with the 256GB model priced at $1,200. Early pre-orders may also benefit from a free storage upgrade to 512GB, offering additional value to early adopters.

The rear camera setup on the Pixel 9 Pro XL will feature a 50MP wide camera, a 48MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. The main camera will use a Samsung GNK sensor, and the ultra-wide will utilize the Sony IMX585 sensor. B

oth the Pro and Pro XL models will include a telephoto module with the IMX858 sensor, which is also used for the selfie camera. This advanced camera system is expected to deliver high-quality photography across various conditions and scenarios.

AI-powered features will be a significant part of the Pixel 9 Pro XL, with the phone integrating Google’s Gemini AI technology. Features like Pixel Studio for image creation, Reimagine for transforming photo elements, and an AI-powered Weather app with outfit suggestions are some of the highlights.

The phone will also offer a Screenshot Search function that uses natural language processing to find specific images in the gallery, showcasing Google’s focus on enhancing user experience through AI innovations.
