The upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra is set to feature a design departure from its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Recent renders shared by Ice Universe, a trusted source for Samsung leaks, indicate that the new model will forgo the sharp, angular corners of the S24 Ultra. These corners were often criticized for causing discomfort when holding the phone. To address this, Samsung is expected to introduce slightly rounded edges in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, a design choice that appears to be inspired by the Meizu 21 Pro.
While the renders reveal some changes, they do not fully capture all the design updates. For example, Ice Universe had previously indicated that the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s side rails would curve towards the back, but this feature is missing in the current renders, which show flat sides. This discrepancy suggests that the renders might not fully reflect the final design of the phone.
Another notable change shown in the new renders is a reduction in the phone’s width. The S25 Ultra is expected to have a slimmer frame, decreasing the width from 79mm to 77.6mm. Despite the narrower width, the phone’s screen size will increase slightly from 6.79 inches to 6.86 inches, thanks to adjustments in the phone’s frame design.
Additionally, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to be slimmer than its predecessor, with a thickness of 8.4mm compared to the S24 Ultra’s 8.6mm. This reduction in thickness could contribute to a sleeker overall appearance while maintaining a comfortable grip.
In terms of performance and features, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is anticipated to be equipped with a new Snapdragon chip and potentially up to 16GB of RAM, promising enhanced performance. The phone is also expected to introduce two new cameras: an ultrawide module and a new telephoto sensor, further advancing its photographic capabilities.
