Apple has officially announced its upcoming annual event, which will take place on Monday, September 9, at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. The event, set to begin at 10:00 a.m., will be an iPhone-centric showcase, with select media members invited to attend. The focus of the event will be on revealing the latest products and software updates from the tech giant.
The highlight of the event will be the introduction of the iPhone 16 lineup, featuring new innovations such as a customizable Action Button and a Capture Button for enhanced photo-taking capabilities. Positioned below the power button on the right side of the devices, the Capture Button will offer built-in gestures like zooming and autofocus.
All iPhone 16 models will be equipped with the new A18 chip, which supports advanced Apple Intelligence features in iOS 18. The Pro models will see an increase in display size and will include a 5x Telephoto zoom, a feature previously limited to the Pro Max model.
In addition to the iPhone 16, Apple is expected to reveal updates to its Apple Watch lineup. The Series 10 will feature a thinner design with a larger display, although the changes won’t be drastic. There is speculation that new health features like sleep apnea detection and blood pressure monitoring could be introduced, depending on their readiness for this year’s release. The Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Ultra are also slated for updates.
The AirPods 4 will also be a key product launch at the event. Apple plans to introduce two models: one as a direct successor to the current AirPods 3 and another higher-end version with Active Noise Cancellation, aimed at offering premium features at a more affordable price than the AirPods Pro.
Apple will live stream the event on its website, YouTube, and through the Apple TV app for those who cannot attend in person. Additionally, MacRumors will provide in-depth coverage of the event on its website and social media, ensuring that fans and tech enthusiasts can stay informed about the latest developments from Apple.
