Samsung is enhancing several of its proprietary apps as part of the upcoming One UI 7.0 update, and the Clock app has recently surfaced online with new changes. The update introduces mostly visual improvements to the app, including a refreshed icon and updated tabs for the Clock, World Clock, Timer, and Stopwatch features, each now featuring its own distinct icon.
For those interested in trying out the new Clock app, the installation file can be downloaded from the APK Mirror website. Users can then install it on Galaxy devices running One UI 6.1 or later through a file manager app. However, it’s important to note that this early version may contain bugs, and uninstalling it will remove it completely from the device, requiring reinstallation from the Play Store and potentially resetting alarms and custom settings.
The beta version of One UI 7.0, which includes the updated Clock app, is anticipated to launch soon. Owners of Galaxy S24, S24+, or S24 Ultra models in select markets such as the US, UK, India, and Germany will have the opportunity to test the new update through the One UI 7.0 Beta Program.
The One UI 7.0 Beta Program is expected to begin in early August. However, the release of the beta version may be delayed as Samsung has yet to roll out the One UI 6.1.1 update. This timeline could impact the availability of One UI 7.0 for testing.
