In an effort to curb extensive leaks of its upcoming devices, Google moved its annual launch event to August, two months earlier than usual. Despite this attempt, leaks continue to emerge. Recently, a new wave of leaks has surfaced, revealing promotional materials, videos, and official cases for the forthcoming Pixel devices, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The leaks disclose the official cases for the Pixel 9 Pro, which will be available in several colors: Charcoal, Porcelain, Hazel, Rose, and Aloe. Interestingly, the Aloe color case is notable because the Pixel 9 Pro itself is not expected to come in this color. Meanwhile, the cases for the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be offered in the same colors, except for the Aloe variant.

In addition to the case leaks, a promotional video for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL was also leaked. This video, which has since been removed from YouTube for violating its Terms of Service, highlighted that the Pixel Pro series will now be available in two sizes for the first time. It also confirmed Google’s commitment to ongoing software updates, with the company promising seven years of Pixel Feature Drops.

Further details from the leaks showcase features like Pixel Screenshots, which allows users to search through saved screenshots easily. The promo materials also emphasize the ‘Pro-level’ cameras on the Pro models, featuring Super Res Zoom Video and a new AI feature called Add Me.

This feature merges two group shots to ensure everyone, including the person taking the photo, is included. Google’s AI platform, Gemini, is also heavily promoted.

Lastly, another leaked video focuses on the standard Pixel 9. Unlike the Pixel 9 Pro’s Add Me feature, the Pixel 9 boasts the Magic Editor, which uses AI to “reimagine” photos. It also highlights the phone’s “durable design,” though specifics are not provided. This video remains on YouTube for now, but it might be removed soon, similar to the other promotional video.
