Apple has released its fourth round of developer betas for fall operating system updates, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2. These updates follow an unusual third round where the betas were reissued shortly after their initial release in July.
The fourth betas have updated build numbers: iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 are now at 22A5316j, tvOS 18 at 22J5424f, macOS Sequoia at 24A5298h, watchOS 11 at 22R5318h, and visionOS 2.0 at 22N5286g.
Previous betas included changes like updated dark mode icons, flashlight control adjustments, and hints of a new home device. The second round had updates for SharePlay and iPhone Screen Mirroring.
Apple’s updates may be influenced by the Digital Markets Act in the EU, potentially affecting new features.
Users are advised to avoid installing betas on primary devices to prevent data loss and should use secondary devices with up-to-date backups.
