Delivery management platform Scurri, which optimizes the online ordering and delivery process for e-commerce retailers, has acquired AI platform HelloDone to enhance its post-purchase capabilities for online retailers and brands.
HelloDone specializes in conversational AI solutions, addressing post-purchase customer queries through digital messaging channels like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger.
This technology allows retailers to automate responses to customer queries via AI-powered chat, “offering effective and immediate resolutions of customer needs at scale” to improve delivery experiences and customer service.
HelloDone’s solution “strongly complements” Scurri’s offerings and will augment its existing carrier management and post-purchase solutions already used by leading e-commerce brands and retailers.
The acquisition will integrate the HelloDone team into Scurri, bringing valuable AI expertise to Scurri’s product and engineering teams, thereby accelerating product innovation.
Additionally, Scurri will acquire all technology, trademarks, intellectual property, and clients from HelloDone.
Rory O’Connor, Founder and CEO of Scurri, stated: “Scurri’s acquisition of HelloDone demonstrates our commitment and ambition to accelerate growth for our customers by empowering them to be at the forefront of the AI revolution that is rapidly changing the retail industry.
HelloDone’s technology offering is highly complementary to ours and will enable us to unleash new capabilities and give our customers even greater control over the most fundamental pillars of their business – delivery.”
Ed Hodges, Founder and CEO of HelloDone, added: “HelloDone’s services are highly synergistic with Scurri’s and we are excited by this opportunity to blend our collective knowledge, expertise, and technology to provide distinct competitive advantages as a fully integrated solution-driven delivery and post-purchase service provider.”
Scurri, an Irish company, has raised over £12.8m (€15.3 million) to date, including a £7.6m (€9 million) investment in 2021 to accelerate growth in European markets.
Driven by the growth of online shopping in the UK and Ireland, the company has opened offices in London and manages over 100 million parcel deliveries annually for e-commerce merchants.
Last year, Scurri launched its post-purchase experience solution, Scurri Track Plus, which enables retailers and brands to take control of post-sale communications and provide branded delivery updates. The acquisition of HelloDone is expected to make these post-sale communications even more effective.
