Hyundai, BMW and Jaguar Are Recalling Over 38000 Vehicles For Various Issues

Hyundai is recalling more than 31,000 vehicles due to a fuel pump failure issue, as per an email from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall affects certain 2022-2023 Genesis GV70, GV80, G80, and G90 vehicles, with the potential for fuel pump failure leading to a loss of drive power. A total of 31,440 vehicles are impacted by this recall.

Authorized dealers will conduct inspections and replace the fuel pump assembly at no cost to the owners.

Notification letters for owners are expected to be sent out on June 18, 2024. The recall identification number for Hyundai is 022G, and it expands upon recall number 23V-630.

BMW is also recalling 5,761 vehicles due to potential head airbag inflator failures. The affected vehicles, sold between 2014-2015, include various models such as the 2 Series Coupe, 3 Series Sedan, and 4 Series Coupe.

In the event of inflator failure, there’s a risk of gas leakage or inflator rupture, which could cause injury to occupants. Authorized dealers will replace the head airbags free of charge, with notification letters expected to be mailed on June 14, 2024.

Meanwhile, Jaguar is recalling 2,409 2021-2023 E-Pace vehicles due to a potential tear in the passenger airbag during deployment. A torn airbag may not adequately protect occupants during a crash and could release hot gases, posing a burn risk.

Dealers will replace the passenger airbag module at no cost to owners, with notification letters expected to be sent out on June 14, 2024. For inquiries, Jaguar customers can contact customer service at 1-800-452-4827, referencing recall number H491.
