Promod, a French fashion company with a large online presence, has made a big next business step in the world of ecommerce. The clothing retailer made an announcement of their latest expansion to India, a promising emerging market for many kinds of ecommerce and m-commerce stores.
“We initiated our digital sales in India through Myntra and the response has been very encouraging in the first year,” said Promod managing director Nadine Caux.
She continued expressing high hopes and new options for customers in the coming years, including offering over 2,000 styles within the next year and doubling their turnover rate.
Caux also confidently stated that launching their own sales portal in India – as opposed to selling through third-party retailers – would create and maintain customer satisfaction. She also noted the move would bring a long-lasting loyalty to Promod’s brand.
According to Promod’s announcement, they will have both an option to shop in and pick up orders from brick-and-mortar stores as well as home delivery options for their products.
Promod Ecommerce Expansion to Continue Through 2025

In total, Promod is available in 50 countries and is still growing. By 2025, they are hoping to have at least 100 stores throughout the world, aiming to expand to tier II and tier III markets.
Their mission is certainly attainable, as the fashion company has a large online social presence. Promod has 1 million likes on Facebook, 283,000 followers on Instagram, and 3,390 followers on Twitter. The company links new designs on their social media, making it accessible to their current customers and attractive to new ones.
Promod to Continue Their Mission of Self-Expression
Promod prides itself on clothing that is flattering, comfortable, and – of course – fashionable. Their aim is to provide clothes that allow personal expression for all kinds of people, which shows through their continuous persistence in the global marketplace. Promod’s brand mission states how they offer “[Styles] that fit and reveal [a customer’s] true self” through fun patterns and eye-popping colors.
The company offers a wide range of clothing options. Promod offers dresses, shirts, skirts, pants, shoes, handbags, and other accessories. They also offer style guides and a sizing chart for customers to find an accurate fit before purchase.
Additionally, they offer many items on sale and free shipping on qualifying orders over 100 €. Their design process makes clothes with great care and precision, boasting “sharp and flattering cuts” for their fashion. The approach makes fine French fashion easily attainable for young women everywhere.
India to Surpass United States as a Promising Ecommerce Market
Recently, India has become a testing ground for new technologies and has embraced the omnipresence of m-commerce and ecommerce in the country, growing at the fastest rate out of all other countries in market expansion. According to the India Brand Equity Foundation, the ecommerce industry in India is expected to surpass the United States to become the second-largest ecommerce market in the globe. The younger generation’s use of the internet is cited for the expected growth.
